The operational halt led to thirty canceled flights affecting 6,000 passengers, with officials warning that additional delays could occur throughout Monday.

Border security stated that multiple atmospheric balloons were observed crossing into Lithuania from neighboring Belarus, with two of which ending up right above the airport's airspace.
Approximately 14 of the atmospheric instruments launched over the weekend drifted across the capital region, which is home to Lithuania's main urban center and near the frontier with Belarus.
